We have had another fantastic week of learning and adventures in Owl Class!
We have been continuing our journey through The Wild Robot and have been getting creative! We imagined what other animals Roz might discover on her island. We designed our own unique animals and then created fact files all about them. We thought carefully about their habitats, appearance, diet and special features, using lots of imaginative ideas and interesting vocabulary.
In Maths, we have been becoming rounding experts! We have been practising rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1,000. We have been using number lines and looking carefully at the digits to help us decide which number a value is closest to.
Our Science learning has been particularly exciting this week as we have been learning about the different types of teeth we have and what each type is used for. We learned about incisors, canines, premolars and molars and investigated how our teeth help us to eat and break down different foods. We even enjoyed eating lots of fruit as part of our investigation!
We have also finished our beautiful woven wall hangings! We have worked hard to develop our weaving skills, carefully choosing colours and patterns and showing lots of patience and creativity. We are very proud of our finished pieces and they look fantastic displayed together.
Well done, Owl Class, for another brilliant week of learning, creativity and curiosity!
