We have had a fantastic first week back after half term in Woodpeckers! Everyone has settled back into the swing of things brilliantly, and it has been lovely to see so many smiling faces, enthusiasm and excitement for the weeks ahead.
In English, we have started our new class book, Stig of the Dump. We have been getting to know the characters and exploring the exciting world of Stig and Barney. We have also been letting our imaginations run wild as we begin to think about the adventures the two might get up to. We are working towards writing our very own stories, imagining what could happen next and creating some exciting adventures of our own!
In History, we have been learning all about the Beaker people and their pottery. In Art, we got creative and had lots of fun making our very own Bell Beaker pots. There were some fantastic creations, and it was wonderful to see everyone getting stuck in and taking pride in their work!
It has been a brilliant start to the half term, full of creativity, imagination and lots of learning. We are looking forward to seeing what else we get up to over the coming weeks!
