Welcome back Hedgehogs! What a super week it has been in our pile of leaves. Year Two has returned to school excited, refuelled and ready to learn, and it has been wonderful to see such positive energy in the classroom. It has felt warm and fuzzy all week! Hedgehogs have worked hard in both English and Maths, but the highlight of the week has definitely been Design and Technology. We have started our new D&T topic, “Cut, Stitch and Join”, which is all about fabrics. On Thursday, the children explored a range of different items including hats, scarfs, blankets, socks and gloves. They carefully looked at the materials and stitching, and discussed whether they were fit for purpose. It was a super exciting lesson, with lots of thoughtful observations. Some of the children even had fun styling the objects too! What a fantastic start back. Well done, Hedgehogs!
