This week, Hedgehogs have been busy diving into the wonderful world of sea creatures as part of our non-fiction writing in English and they have done a brilliant job! We have explored different features of a non fiction book and learnt that they are full of interesting facts. In particular, Year Two have created clear and carefully labelled diagrams, showing different parts of their chosen sea creatures. They then added their own captions to sea creatures , using fantastic scientific vocabulary and full sentences to explain the photograph or illustration. All the Hedgehogs worked hard to make sure their writing was neat, informative and easy for a reader to understand. Miss Hall was so impressed by how well the children listened, shared ideas, and took pride in their work. Year Two showed great focus and creativity, and their finished pieces really looked like pages from a fact book. Well done Hedgehogs. Now to become authors and create our own non fiction, sea creature booklets.
