Science Stars!

On Tuesday, Hedgehogs had an excellent science lesson where we became real scientists with lab cots and goggles! It looked very serious in our classroom. We explored the shaping of materials and carried out exciting experiments to see how different materials can change shape. Year Two investigated a range of materials including glass, wood, fabric, paper and clay. Just like scientists, they made careful observations and tested each material to see whether it could bend, squash, twist or stretch. There was lots of curiosity, thoughtful discussion and fantastic teamwork as the children explored what each material could and couldn’t do. Hedgehogs showed great enthusiasm and worked hard to explain their ideas using scientific language. Well done, Year Two. You were brilliant scientists!
