Hedgehogs have bounced back after half term full of energy, enthusiasm and ready to learn! It has been a super busy first week back, Year Two have been working incredibly hard across all of their subjects. However, our History learning has been a particular highlight! Hedgehogs have continued exploring our topic ‘Movers and Shakers’, learning all about some very significant people who have made a difference to the world. This week, our focus turned to the incredible Neil Armstrong – the first man to walk on the Moon! On Tuesday, we put our creative skills to the test and set about making our very own rockets, ready to take Neil Armstrong on his next space adventure! Year Two carefully measured and created the shape of their rockets, before adding tinfoil to give them that all-important shiny, space-ready body. We then used a range of different materials to add windows, flames and lots of extra details to bring our rockets to life. And WOW… they looked AMAZING! Our classroom is now looking rather out of this world, with rockets flying all around. We think Neil Armstrong would be very impressed with the Hedgehogs' efforts!
