Say cheese!

This week we have started to learn about self-portraits and the main features of our faces.

The children were given a mirror each and a template for the head shape. After that they were allowed to use their imagination! *We did discuss using realistic colours but as you will see in the photos, some artistic licence was used.

Also, we talked a little bit about Vincent Van Gogh. He often chose to paint pictures of himself and had his favourite colours.

The children thoroughly enjoyed creating themselves and are very proud of our new classroom display.
