Mitoto Primary School have sent some great pictures and it looks like they have finally had rain! They have brought their school cow (which we have funded for them) and are beginning to farm it.
Connecting Classrooms
Today Robin Class face-timed West Chiltington Primary School and spoke to the Year One Class (Purple Class). This was to do with our Kenya Connecting Classrooms project as their school are also part of the British Council project. Robin Class loved using the laptop and asking the Year One children different questions about their school!
Day 1 of Playground Installation Complete
Work has finished for the day for our new playground equipment. It is already starting to take shape. We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

The Egg Rolling Class Heats have begun
The Class heats have started today for the Easter Egg Rolling. They will continue through the week, with the Grand Finals taking place on Thursday at 2.30pm. See you there!
Sports Relief - Country Dancing!
Thank you everyone for coming along to our Sport Relief Country Danceathon! It was a fantastic end to our week and we'll let you know just how much we've raised once we've finished counting all of the donations.
Hedgehog Class - Titanic Day
Hedgehog Class have had a fantastic day on board the SS Titanic. This afternoon they have played deck games and enjoyed food of the era whilst getting to know the passengers they are sat next to.
PAKSA Easter Chocolate Workshop

Music at Plaistow and Kirdford
Did you know that in addition to achieving some of the best outcomes in reading, writing and maths in the county we also offer a fantastic range of curriculum enrichment opportunities for our children.
Year Three and their violins
We love music at our school and this year we have seen a real boost in the numbers of children taking up a musical instrument. Every year, children get the chance in Year Three to learn the violin. Additionally we have children learning: the guitar, cello, violin, piano, keyboard and saxophone.

Spring has Sprung
Our Gardening Club took full advantage of the Spring weather today and headed out to the front of school with our Gardening Club Leaders, Mrs D'Aoust and Mrs Fraser. They did a fantastic job of some weeding in the borders and tidying up the Hydrangea near the notice board.
Kenya Presentation
Following on from their recent trip to Kenya, Mrs Jesse and Miss Hall welcomed parents to school this afternoon to see a presentation of their time at Mitoto Primary School, as well as try Chi Tea and Mendazi's (Kenyan Doughnuts).
Storytime
On Thursday afternoon Robin Class and Mr King enjoyed storytime in our library with Mrs Smith.
Bags of Support - Thursday 22nd March
Please hold on to your donations of unwanted clothes and textiles and bring them into school on the morning of Thursday 22nd March. Bags will be sent home soon but bin bags are fine to use too! Thank you.
World Book Day Reminder - Wednesday 7th March
Don't forget it is World Book Day - prizes for the best costumes. We can't wait!
The book fair will also be open tomorrow for one time. If you didn't get a chance to purchase a book last week, please come along. There are some fantastic books at great prices.

Having arrived at school and assessed the condition of school, school transport issues and road disruption and the likelihood of conditions worsening. We have taken the decision to close the school. As per our letter yesterday, we will be closed tomorrow as conditions will not have improved. World Book Day will be postponed until next Wednesday.
