To finish our fairy-tale topic this half term, Robins made some teddy bear toast today and then gobbled it up in one. They said it wasn’t too hot, it wasn’t too cold… it was just right!
SNOW!
It was snow much fun when this arrived last week. Robins loved making snow angels, feeling the cold and writing with the sticks.
Is there a troll under the bridge?
Today we walked down to the pond to see if the troll was under the bridge. Whilst we were there we noticed that the pond has frozen so we broke the ice! It was ICE to see it…
Bonjour from our special visitor...
Today Robins had a visit from our Belgium student. She told us all about Belgium and then read us a story. It was great!
Ice medals
At forest school Robins’ collected signs of winter and then put them in a dish with water. They left over night and nature worked it’s magic…
Art Week!
Robin Class have enjoyed making different artwork linked to the artist George Bellows and his picture ‘Men of the Docks’. We have spent the week using different materials to create pieces of art linked to boats.
Christmas Jumper Day!
We had so much fun dressing up in our Christmas jumpers and raising money for charity.

Reindeer Run!
Today we had 25 of Santas reindeer’s running around the playground raising money for Chestnut Tree house.
An elf has arrived!
Robins’ came in after break time and found this cheeky elf on the carpet! I wonder what he is doing here...
Beep Beep... Fire Service came to Robins!
This morning Robins had a special visitor from the fire service. We learnt how to keep safe when around hot stuff and we listened so well we got to try on a firefighter uniform. Even Miss Hall got to try it on! What do you think?
Diwali Celebrations!
As part of our new topic ‘Celebrations’, Robins created their very own Diwali lamps using clay.
Guess what Robins spotted today...
Robin’s were very excited today because we spotted a very clear and beautiful rainbow. They were also able to explain how a rainbow is created!
Fireworks!
Today’s celebration we have been learning about is…FIREWORKS! Robins have worked hard on creating different fireworks with different toys.

Hungry Healthy Caterpillars
Today we made hungry caterpillars using healthy grapes and strawberries and they tasted juicy!
Healthy Eating...
As part of our Marvelous Me topic we have been thinking about healthy eating. Today Robins prepared and then tasted different healthy fruits. Thanks a MELON to these girls for finishing up the left overs!

Miss Hall and Mrs Moreton have been super busy visiting all the new Robins at their homes. They’ve had fun spotting welcome balloons!
Ugly Bug Ball -
What a buzzing day it has been! The Robins have transformed into mini-beasts and attended our 'Ugly Bug Ball' today to finish our topic. They dressed up as butterflies, spiders and even a stag beetle. Then they got to make bug biscuits, play mini-beast party games (sleeping worms!) and finish with an insect picnic.
