Dear Parents and Carers, At a recent meeting of our Governors’ Committee: Communications and Well-being, we were discussing the ways parents have available to them to communicate with school. We do operate an open door policy at school and always welcome feedback both positive and constructive. We want our children and families to be happy and proud of our school. Parent’s first point of contact is always their child’s class teacher. If a parent comes to a member of the senior leadership team, myself included, we would nearly always be directing them to the class teacher. Our class teachers know your child best and will often have information or knowledge that we may not have immediate access to. The best time to arrange a meeting with a class teacher is when you see them at drop-off or pick-up time. If you aren’t able to speak to a teacher at these times, you can contact the school office and they will liaise and organise an appointment for you. My door is very nearly always open if ever you would like to come and speak with me - it is only very rarely that I wouldn’t be able to see a parent or carer at the start or end of a day. If I’m not able to see you, we would be able to organise another time when we could meet. Schools are dynamic places - no one day is ever the same as the previous. Our staff work hard to make sure every day is successful for children and families. We love hearing when we get it right. Equally, if you feel we are getting something wrong, we would appreciate hearing about it as well so that we can address it. Thank you as always for your support
