School Newsletter

No. 4 - 25th January 2019

Dear Parents,

Have you signed up to our new newsletter yet?

In two weeks’ time we will be switching from our current newsletter to our new and improved version. Our new format will be optimised for viewing on mobile devices and will link to our website more easily meaning you should be able to find the information you need more quickly. An added benefit is that as many family members and carers can sign up as you like, unlike our current format which can only go to one parent or carer at a time.

To sign up to our newsletter, visit our school website www.plaistowandkirdford.org and you will have a pop up window asking whether or not you would like to receive our newsletter.

Monday 4th February will mark the start of our E-Safety Week. Throughout the week, classes will be learning about being as safe online as they can be as well as considering how they should be responsible in their behaviour online.

We will be using a range of resources across the week including: internetmatters.org, The NSPCC and Safer Internet Centre.

In addition to providing resources for schools for Safer Internet Day, they have also produced a range of resources for parents and carers to use at home. General resources can be found on the parent and carers tab at www.saferinternet.org.uk They have also created a pack specifically for parents and carers that is linked to Safer Internet Day 2019.  Please do save the date! Thursday 7th February at 6pm

We have organised an external provider to host an E-Safety Workshop for parents and carers. It should not last longer than 45 minutes.

ClassList is the new PAKSA communications tool. As well as keeping you up to date with all PAKSA events, it has some great features including automatically adding events to your calendar.
