Next week is Internet Safety Week. Throughout the week children will be having focused lessons on how they can be safer online.

 On Thursday Openview Education will be visiting us to deliver e-safety workshops for years one to six.

In the evening, we will holding an e-safety session for parents and carers at 6.30pm. All parents and carers are warmly invited, there is no need to book, just come along!

VIP Morning

We are looking forward to seeing parents at our VIP morning on Tuesday the 12th February. These mornings give parents the chance to come in to class and see the kinds of learning going on. Parents of children in Year Three and Five should bring their trainers as Mr Meaney, head of PE at The Weald, will be delivering some expert PE teaching to the Woodpeckers and Foxes.

Spaces are limited for safeguarding reasons; only parents who sign up via our parent booking system will be able to attend.

This week, letters were sent home in all book bags containing details about our new payment partner, ParentPay.  To date, 20% of our pupils have had their accounts activated.  We would like to encourage all our families to activate their accounts as we would like to start using this system for other methods of communication too.  Please contact the school office if you require any help or support in activating your unique username and password.

Lost Property

Once again the lost property bin is very full.  With the very cold weather, there seem to be lots of coats, hats and gloves.  Please take a look to see if your child has lost anything.  We will put the clothes on a table at the front of school next week – weather permitting and any unclaimed, unnamed items left at half term will be given to charity.  If clothing is named it is far easier to return it to its owner.
